How food can be medicine on Thanksgiving. (Choose wisely!):
🥬 Leafy Greens (Spinach, Kale) – Packed with lutein and zeaxanthin to protect against macular degeneration.
🥔 Sweet Potatoes – Full of vitamin A to keep your eyes moist and fight dry eye symptoms.
🦃 Turkey – Rich in zinc, which supports overall eye health and helps prevent oxidative stress linked to glaucoma.
🎃 Pumpkin – Loaded with vitamins A, C, and E. These antioxidants help lower overall inflammation.
🍒 Cranberries – High in vitamin C, great for supporting blood flow to the eyes and prevents cataract progression.
Pro Tip: Staying hydrated (yes, even with water!) also helps reduce dry eye symptoms.
Please Note: Our office will be closed on Thursday, 11/28, and Friday, 11/29 for Thanksgiving. We’ll reopen and resume seeing patients on Monday, 12/2/24.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

🤰✨ Embracing the beautiful journey of pregnancy and all its wonders, including the fascinating changes in vision. Here are a few common vision changes that some pregnant individuals might encounter:
Dry Eyes: Hormonal fluctuations can lead to changes in tear production, causing dry eyes or discomfort. Luckily, we specialize in dry eyes (@dryeyeroom) so we can address it right away!
Blurred Vision: Fluid retention and hormonal changes can affect the thickness and curvature of the cornea, leading to temporary blurriness. This can happen soon after delivery too!
Prescription Changes: Some individuals may notice changes in their eyeglass or contact lens prescriptions during pregnancy. It’s recommended to wait until after pregnancy for a permanent prescription change, as these changes may revert postpartum.
Contact lens intolerance: This can be due to prescription changes or dry eyes.
Puffy Eyelids: Fluid retention can cause puffiness or swelling around the eyes.
Melasma: These are flat or fleckle-like spots on your face (cheeks, nose, chin, above the upper lip and the forehead). These pigment changes can fade with time, or worsen with UV rays.
It’s important to note that these changes are often temporary, and vision typically returns to normal after childbirth. However, if you experience severe or persistent vision changes, it’s crucial to consult with an eye doctor for a thorough examination.
To set up a consultation, call (609) 219-9000 and visit us at 4 Princess Road, Suite 202, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648

I had an excellent experience today. Super friendly and caring team of people! Dr Jinka-Patel is professional, kind and caring . Larry in the optical shop is so knowledgeable and patient.
Jennifer’s service was awesome. She was very caring, thoughtful and did a professional job in supporting my special request for silhouette glasses. Thank you!
Everyone in the Lawrenceville office was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I didn’t feel hurried by anyone - staff, eye doctor or the optician that was so patient helping me pick out frames. Good experience! Looking forward to getting my new glasses!
My visit today was informative about my cacaderacts condition in my right eye with surgery being scheduled, the Dr. Is always on point and make every thing perfectly clear. Very comfortable going to this office. Thank you
Larry provided very good service. He fixed my glasses and made the screw that was continuously coming loose be unable to get loose again.
Had an unexpected concern with my eye. Dr G. Took me right in to eval and resolve issue. Dr. Greidinger is a very personable and professional individual. Have utilized his services for over 25 years. They have a great location and excellent staff.
I am extremely pleased and satisfied with the professional care I received from Dr. Jinka- Patel. Her eye care practice is one of the most professional and attentive practices I have used. One fine body…
I always enjoy my visits to Lawrenceville Eye Care. This time Jennifer repaired my eyeglasses. She had helped me select them and fitted them expertly a few years ago. They are the best pair of glasses I've ever owned. And Dr. G.'s prescription for the lenses are perfect.
